Join Us and #EndGunViolence
Thursday, December 15, 2016,6:30-8:30 PM
Malcolm X College, 1900 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago
In the four years since the Newtown School shooting, more than 120,000 Americans nationwide have died from gunshot wounds–including over 2,000 in Chicago alone. As Americans we are all affected by gun violence. That is why we must keep the focus on the shame and tragedy of gun violence in our nation and why we must demand our leaders take action.
We join the Newtown Foundation in a nationwide vigil service of mourning and remembrance for all those who have fallen victim to the ongoing epidemic of violence in America. This event is sponsored by Chicago Survivors, Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence, the Brady Campaign, Moms Demand Action, Organizing for Action, People for a Safer Society, and Illinois G-PAC.
We meet in loving remembrance of victims and in determination to save lives moving forward.
