Please join G-PAC’s Board Members, Founders Circle Members, and Event Co-Chairs, Judy Gold, Leslie Bluhm, and Rhonda K. Brown, for our annual Profile in Courage Award Ceremony on Tuesday, October 29 in Viceroy Chicago’s Cedar Ballroom. We will be honoring Mayor Lori Lightfoot for her work in ending the gun violence epidemic affecting Chicago and Illinois. Please join us in recognizing Mayor Lightfoot and supporting G-PAC’s efforts as we approach our next legislative session.
G-PAC’s mission is to protect the fundamental right of our children and families to live free from violence. Earlier this year, we proudly watched Governor JB Pritzker sign into law SB 337, the Combating Illegal Gun Trafficking Act, as one of his first official acts in office. G-PAC championed this legislation, and it is a true example of the impact we can have when we all come together to advocate for gun violence prevention. We are heading back to Springfield this Fall to focus on SB 1966 , which will fix the broken FOID system – requiring background checks for all gun sales, including those by private sellers, helping to prevent guns from ending up in the wrong hands. We need your support to “Fix the FOID” and turn this legislation into law. Please join us on Tuesday, October 29 for our Profile in Courage Award Ceremony to be a part of our movement to end gun violence.
